Abstract :
Direction of arrival estimation has many applications in communications. Though MUSIC
and ESPRIT are by far the mostly studied algorithms, there have been growing interests in
cyclostationarity based algorithms for their higher selectivity. In addition to carrier
frequency and baud rate, OFDM signals show cyclostationarity caused by the cyclic prefix.
In this paper we have studied the direction finding problem of OFDM signal making use of
the cyclostationarity property. For this, we have modified the Cyclic MUSIC algorithm and
applied it to OFDM signals in a strong interference environment. Results show that the
cyclostationarity based Cyclic MUSIC algorithm can outperform the ordinary MUSIC.
